The beginning of the month brought arguably the first - and perhaps only - snow of the winter season.
The same week, Punxsutawney Phil, the famous groundhog who lives in Pennsylvania, predicted six more weeks of winter.
We'll see about that.
At press time, measurable snow was not in the forecast this week.
